Terms and ConditionsReservations On making a reservation, the agreement becomes a legal contract. Guests will be charged for the total amount of the first night’s stay for each room by way of a non-refundable deposit. The balance of the payment due is subject to a 7 day cancellation policy. In the event of cancellation within 7 days of the arrival date, 75% of the total reservation cost will be charged. The 7 day cancellation policy also applies to any part of the original reservation once guests have begun their stay. Any additional services, eg flowers, champagne and chocolates, will be charged for upon reservation. Payment of Accounts Accounts are to be settled upon arrival. Payment can be made in cash or by debit/credit card - Unfortunately, due to charges levied by the banking organisations, a 2% surcharge has to be added to all balances paid by credit card. However, balances paid by debit card do not carry a surcharge Insurance We recommend that you take up holiday insurance. Pets We regret that we are unable to accept pets. Acceptance of Children We welcome children aged 12 years or over. Non-availability of Accommodation We would only cancel your reservation if your accommodation was unavailable for reasons beyond our control. We would, however, attempt to offer you alternative accommodation. If this was not possible, or unacceptable to you, then we would refund all monies paid by you for the reservation. Our liability would not extend beyond this refund. Arrival Rooms are available from 3.00 pm on the day of arrival and we kindly ask guests check in before 9.00 pm. We are, however, happy to cater for arrivals earlier or later than these times with prior notice. Departure Guests are requested to check out of their rooms by 10.30 am on the day of departure, unless otherwise arranged. We reserve the right to charge any guest, who has not vacated their room by this time, a subsequent night at the appropriate daily tariff. Liability We do not accept any liability for damage, loss or injury to any guest, vehicles or possessions unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves. Privacy Policy Any data collected during the course of your reservation will be stored on our computer. We would like to be able to contact you from time to time about promotions and offers – please let us know if you would prefer us not to. We will not share your details with any third party. Damage and Breakages We kindly ask guests to report any damage to fixtures and fittings as soon as it occurs as this will help ensure that repairs, replacement or cleaning works are carried out immediately and may help reduce the risk of further damage. Whilst we understand that accidents happen, we do reserve the right to hold guests liable for breakages and/or damages caused and to claim full repair/replacement costs. These costs can be added to a guest’s account after departure and in the case of credit or debit card reservations, the card of the person or agent responsible for the reservation will be debited with the costs unless other payment methods are offered and approved. Smoking For the comfort and safety of all our guests, Villa Marina is a completely non-smoking establishment. This is not only our personal requirement but a requirement by law. For our guests’ convenience there is a smoking ‘bench’ in the corner of the garden – for the benefit of all, we ask guests to remain in this area when smoking and that they carefully extinguish their cigarettes/cigars in the containers provided. If we do discover evidence that smoking has occurred within the building then those responsible will be asked to leave Villa Marina. If this should happen then the remainder of the reservation will still be charged together with a deep cleanse fee of £50.00. We reserve the right to add these costs to a guest’s account after departure. In the case of credit or debit card reservations, the card of the person or agent responsible for the reservation will be debited with the costs unless other payment methods are offered and approved. Hot Take Away Food The consumption of hot take away food is not permitted in the bedrooms. However, guests are welcome to use the Garden Room or Garden for such meals and we will be happy to provide cutlery and plates upon request. For the comfort of other guests please ensure you dispose of any containers of wrappings carefully in the bin provided. If we do discover evidence of hot take away food being eaten in the bedrooms, we will have no alternative but to charge the occupants a deep cleanse charge of £50.00. We reserve the right to add this charge to a guest’s account after departure. In the case of credit or debit card reservations, the card of the person or agent responsible for the reservation will be debited with the costs unless other payment methods are offered and approved. It is important the rooms and furnishings remain clean and fresh for the benefit of all guests.
